🥃I've used the Escape lounges at West Palm Beach (PBI) and Greenville-Spartenburg (GSP). They are both on the small side, particularly GSP, and I think opening them up to Priority Pass may create an overcrowding problem that doesn't exist now. I enjoy the lounges to get away from the crowds, relax, and get a small bite of food.

I do wonder if the Escape Lounges will turn away PP holders during peak hours like some other PP lounges.

Traveling to Prague tomorrow from JFK in Delta One so I'm super excited about visiting the Delta One lounge!!

💳 I'm also near SFO, and have a United Explorer, combined with CSP and Amex Platnum, with support from Citi Double Cash and WF Autograph (3x on gas). My wallet is not well thought out at all, and I am looking to take an opportunity to optimise by either upgrading or downgrading some cards. Your videos are hugely helpful! I'm interested in hearing your thoughts on credit card strategy for couples - I want to ensure that we are both working toward a common goal (ours being maximum travel points for use with United). Any tips or videos you can link me to that are specific to couples strategy? I just learned that United lets you "pool" miles with another person, so I can transfer all my chase points to my United account and pool them with my SO there. Would you agree this is effective? Amex Plat is only for perks at this point.

Hi Sebby, For people new to travel cards and points can you walk through your process for booking travel. Where you look and when to pull the trigger? We recently acquired the venture x but a generic tips video and process strategy video would be soooo helpful!

Also after the $300 travel credit is used and brings it down to $250 per year.. You have moved up from the preferred card. Then minus that $95 fee....250 minus 95....Now down to $155 per year

The other achiiles heel of this card was that if im using this card on rent, I will only use it for trusted vendors. Using it for gas stations and restaurants puts it at risk for skimming and that is not acceptable if im using the liquidity for something as important as rent.

🥃 as for the delta one lounge I’m curious to give it a go. I’m very confused about which flights are delta one so keeping up with the various fare categories is frustrating to me. Adding more lounges to priority pass YES PLEASE!

The Escape Lounges annoucement could be amazing for PDX flyers.... its been such a wasteland after the PP resturant benefit was removed. Since PDX has announced an Escape Lounge opening later in 2024.

🥃 As a frequent PHX traveler out of T4, not surprised by the decision to not include it as part of PP. They share the same kitchen, so the food is literally the same on Centurion/Escape. The main difference is the drink selection, where Centurion is far superior. If you're bringing guests, Escape is a better choice as can bring in two guests for free. I will often choose Escape if flying really early as the full bar doesn't open until 11am. If I want single malt scotch or mezcal cocktails, then Centurion for sure. PS, great choice on Lagavulin, Ron Swanson would be proud 😎

🥃Delta One sounds great! When I visit a lounge I’m looking for food, snacks, coffee and WiFi/ power to get work done. I’ve gone to the Escape Lounge at GSP and I agree it was pretty nice. Limited number of customers so you felt like you were part of an exclusive club. They seem to try and be creative with their food offerings and add a regional element. I thought the food was actually tasted like a real cook made it versus a lot of the relatively bland tasting food frequently found in lounges. I wondered why at the beginning of the vlog you referenced this might not be good news from Amex Plat card holders and I agree it will be disappointing if the Escape lounges become overcrowded because of the priority pass addition.

Can you get in an escape lounge with a Venture X card?

Until a brand decides to break with the norm of using 3rd party contractors like HMS and Aramark then there will be no fine dinning in any lounges. Even if the menu is by a local chef, it’s still a bunch of hacks back there.

🥃 I'm pretty excited about the Delta One Lounge, I walked past it on opening day and it looked amazing. They are supposed to be adding a dedicated security line for the check-in area as well but it isn't completed yet. I wish more lounges had a to-go area like some of the some Capitol One lounges. That might help with the extra people that are gaining access to lounges.

🥃 I had the Amex Delta Platinum at one time I downgraded to the blue just to keep my miles. PDX is not a Delta hub so we would never get a D1 lounge. Amex escape lounge is coming soon.
